Taman Ayun Temple: located at Mengwi Village, Badung Regency takes about 20 minutes drive from finish point of Ayung River rafting. It was built around 1634 M by the King of Mengwi, I Gusti Agung Ngurah Made Agung. The name of Taman Ayun literally means the garden of mind. It probably the temple was designed not only as religious purpose, but also as an art that could be used as the place of relax and refreshing the soul of the king as well as the people who worship the god and homage of the ancestors. The temple is surrounded by moat with lotus and lily, making this temple so beautiful. The temple complex is dived into 3 court yards and connected by gate. At first yard, there is a big building called wantilan, functioning as meeting hall, stage performance. In the second court yard, Bale KulKul, a wooden bell tower will take your attention while in inner sanctum there are multi roof shrine with black sago fiber as their roof. Don't miss this place during visiting Bali Island.

Tanah Lot Temple in Tabanan
