We depart to Ubud to visit Ubud King Palace which is common called Puri Saren Ubud, takes about 30 minutes drive. The Ubud Palace was built during the lordship of the late Ida Tjokorda Putu Kandel (1800-1823), and is well-kept by his successive heirs. It has well-preserved Balinese architecture and charming garden settings, and is best known among lovers of Balinese arts.

The front section of the palace is open to the public. Walkthroughs for viewing and photos during the day are complimentary. A local guide can be occasionally met around the wantilan pavilions, who will be able to assist with visitors' inquiries about the history and features of the palace.

After visit Ubud king palace, the trip will continued to Batuan Temple, very beautiful intricately soft stone carved and the roof temple building is made from the fiber of chromatic black palm tree. From Ubud Palace will take about 20 minutes drive to southern ward. The temple located just beside the main road, because of its beautiful unique architecture, many tourists drop off for visiting this temple. Batuan temple was built in the year 944 isaka (1020 AD). The Batuan Temple is a Puseh Temple category based on the concept of "Tri Kahyangan or Tri Murti" taught by Mpu Kuturan around the 10th century to the Balinese Hindu community at the time.

Next trip is continued to visit Bali traditional house compound where we can observe closely about Bali tradition, way of life, culture as well as religion. We will come in to one of the traditional house located in Batuan village, take about 10 minutes drive from Batuan Village Temple. The owner of the house which is ringed by traditional Bali wall will greatly welcome us. From the entrance house gate, we will know who the owner of house is, as there is a name plate attached. Balinese houses are not single huge buildings but rather a collection of numerous structures each with a special function such as kitchen, living house, family temple, the bale gede, an open pavilion of 12 columns, where the oldest male of the family sleeps. During important ceremonies such as tooth filing, this will serve as a place to commune with the ancestors and gods who descend from the heavens to partake of the many offerings placed on the beds. As in the temples, the four directions of the Balinese compass are critical in determining the lay-out and positioning of buildings. Holy building will be erected in mountain ward or eastern ward. The Balinese have always spent a great deal of energy and money on their temples for it is their duty to repay the ancestors for their prosperity.
