Keramas area is very interesting to visit, especially for surfing lovers because Keramas has black sandy beaches with high waves, located in the southern part of the City of Gianyar and east of Sanur. Keramas Beach is one of the beaches located east of Sanur Beach. Very different from the white sandy Sanur Beach, Keramas Beach has a black sandy beach. Keramas Beach is part of the Gianyar Regency, the distance from Denpasar Airport is approximately 20 km through the main road Ida Bagus Mantra, take approximately 30-40 minutes by car. During the holiday season, the trip from the Denpasar Airport to the Keramas area can be even longer because the streets are full of passenger cars carrying tourists on tours to eastern part of Bali or central Bali such as Ubud or Kintamani.
Keramas Beach is now very rapidly developing along with the development of Bali tourism, many tourist facilities are built here such as hotels, villas, homestay. Many private villas are built in this area. Before the main road of Ida Bagus Mantra connecting Denpasar with eastern area of Bali, the Keramas area was still quiet and rice fields were still wide. But as the rhythm of the development of the island of Bali, Keramas slowly turned into one of the tourist destination.
The waves of Keramas Beach attract surf lovers to pit adrenaline here. Some tourists who stay in Kuta, Nusa Dua or Seminyak come to Keramas Beach just to enjoy the surfing and recommend it as one of the best surfing spots in Bali. The view of the Keramas Beach is really interesting, in the distance you can see the island of Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan which is now increasingly visited by tourists. On a clear day, the view of Mount Agung is really beautiful and enchanting, the highest mountain in Bali is located in Karangasem Regency, northeast of Bali Island.
